Fire Extinguisher Service
Fire Extinguisher Service
All fire extinguishers should be inspected monthly by the owner.
Monthly inspections include ensuring that the extinguisher has enough pressure to work properly, that the extinguisher is in its designated place and has not been used, and that the extinguisher contains no obvious defects such as puncture holes, corrosion, or broken or missing parts.
Fire extinguishers should be tested by a licensed fire protection company on an annual basis. The Chaska Fire Department can take your fire extinguisher and have it tested and serviced. For a small fee, we send your fire extinguisher out for service where it is pressure tested and recharged. If needed, a loaner extinguisher will be provided. Fire extinguishers can be dropped off at the Chaska Fire Department Station at 285 Engler Blvd. on most Monday evenings.
